This journal started as a 2026 New Year’s resolution.
One book a month. A real book. Paper, weight, dogeared pages. No e-books, no shortcuts. Just the act of reading the way I grew up with it.
Alongside that, one album at a time. Not a single track on repeat, not a playlist in the background, not streaming. Full albums, front to back, on CD. The way albums were meant to be heard, as a complete thought.
This space exists to slow things down.
Sometimes I’ll write about the book itself. Sometimes about the album. Other times it might be a small detail from the moment, photos of the book or CD, taken by me, as they are. Occasionally I’ll note the pen or pencil I’m using, or the watch on my wrist. Not as a review site, not as recommendations, but as part of the record.
This is not about productivity or optimization. It’s not about finishing faster.
It’s just a journal. A way to pay attention. And a way to remember.
